This bowl, made in refractory stoneware with a mix of craquelure glaze effects, was inspired by the colours and textures of the coastal landscape at low tide on the cliffs of Olhos de Água beach, Faro.

About the author:
Anabela Camelo lives in the Azeitão region and her pieces reflect the tones of the waters of the Serra da Arrábida and all its surrounding nature — the source of her inspiration for every form, every colour, every detail. She completed her contemporary ceramics course at AR.CO and has since exhibited in national and international galleries and fairs. In 2019 she founded COIL, a Portuguese author ceramics brand. Her stoneware pieces represent the texture of rocks and the patterns left in the sand by the tides. The glazes are developed through extensive experimentation, resulting in unique colours that capture the depth of the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic coast.
