This piece, made in refractory stoneware with craquelure glaze effects, was inspired by the blue tones of the Atlantic Ocean at Cabo Sardão on the Costa Vicentina.

About the author:
Anabela Camelo lives in the Azeitão region and her pieces reflect the tones of the waters of the Serra da Arrábida and all its surrounding nature — the source of her inspiration for every form, every colour, every detail. She completed her contemporary ceramics course at AR.CO and has since exhibited in national and international galleries and fairs. In 2019 she founded COIL, a Portuguese author ceramics brand. Her stoneware pieces represent the texture of rocks and the patterns left in the sand by the tides. The glazes are developed through extensive experimentation, resulting in unique colours that capture the depth of the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic coast.
