Nazareth House

More than just a simple decorating project, the intervention in this apartment located in the village of Nazaré was an emotional journey. The client, who had already trusted SAL with another project, contacted us again to breathe new life into this two-bedroom apartment with attic in a fully renovated building that belonged to his grandfather.
Obviously, we were inspired by the sea of Nazaré, with its different shades that change throughout the day. The deep blues, the grays of a cloudy day, the soft greens and luminous whites. For this, we chose Casamance wallpaper with these tones and an extremely intense and charismatic pattern applied to the walls of the dining area.
The L-shaped sofa was completely customized and made to measure for this room, which has a limited area and had to be very well utilized to create two distinct spaces. We took great care in choosing pieces with durable and resistant materials, from the solid wood dining table with rounded corners and iron legs to the handcrafted chairs.

We went upstairs and covered the entire floor with striped wallpaper, like the iconic beach tents of Nazaré, in a subtle interpretation that evokes the cheerful and authentic atmosphere of this coast, transforming this area of the house into an extremely welcoming space.
